About Us

Halito! My name is Twaila Wiley, a Registered Artist with the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma. I began my journey in beadwork and sewing while creating regalia for my children years ago. Since then, I have crafted moccasins to crowns and everything in between! My work is a vibrant celebration of Native traditions, and I take immense pride in sharing my knowledge with others. As an educator, I see Native art as cultural preservation and a way to share our stories with others. In every piece, I celebrate the beauty of Indigenous life and challenge the silence that history has too often imposed. Each piece I create honors the strength of our elders, the spirit of our youth, and the sacred responsibility to carry our culture forward, not just to survive, but to thrive. My daughter joins me in this artistic endeavor when she gets breaks from college, making Choctaw Creations a cherished family business. Together, we hope to inspire future generations to connect with their heritage and invite non-natives to learn about our history and the beauty of our culture.
